  Recently purchased a vehicle and the dealership financed through Allsouth. This would be my first experience with the company and wanted to make sure it would be easy to set up online payments. They assured me they were easy to deal with, online banking would be a "breeze" etc etc My own fault for believing the finance manager at Herndon but either way, it's 2018, I assumed at this point everyone is on the online banking band wagon. I've had nothing but issues setting the account up. I was initially denied "membership" and had to call and get that fixed. I was informed it would be 45 days before my first payment, not true, I had to go into the branch and fill out some form to be "considered" for a due date change. Again...2018 why do I have to take my lunch break to go fill out a paper form in person for something this simple? Very clunky, archaic web interface. Moral of the story- I cannot pay my loan online because I am not a checking account member but they can send me the paperwork in the mail for me to fill out AND BRING IN to get set up for them to request the money from my regular bank each month. On a positive note, the girls at the counter in the Lexington branch were super helpful, nice and even called me to follow up to make sure my issues were resolved.

  It was a slightly cloudy day. I had just eaten some wings from the local Buffalo Wild Wings. When I walked into AllSouth Federal Credit Union I knew something was wrong. I could feel tension. Racial tension. A white man walked up to me and said "What are you doing in this part of town?". I told him I just wanted to apply for a loan and that I have a 788 credit score so there should be no problem. He smirked at me and sarcastically said "Yeah, oookay". I told him I was serious so he sat me down and "ran my credit" for a measly $10,000 auto loan. As I was sitting across from him in his desk, I peered over and he was playing minesweeper. He caught me looking at his screen and the only words he had to say was "Denied". I thanked him for his time and I dejectedly started to walk towards the door. As I was leaving I heard him whisper to his colleague "I'm tired of these negroes coming in thinking we're going to give them money". I have NEVER experienced this level of discrimination in my entire life. Shame on you AllSouth Federal Credit Union. Shame on YOU!
